Even though I spent most of my childhood at private boarding school, I have no complaints. I had a great childhood. I wasn't abused or neglected.
When I came home on weekends and holidays, I was often left with my godmother/aunt, Dr. Barbara Eason Foxworth, my angel. She made sure that I wanted for nothing. She was the cornerstone of our family, helping to raise my own my mother and my little brother.
Have you ever had someone in your life that never said the word "no"? That was Aunt Barbara. There were only a few things she really cared about; God, family, and education (and making sure that everyone in her charge understood who God was and got an education.
Gone from this earth but not from my heart, we chose to name our son Eason, my family name and the woman that meant so much to me.
